Uncanny Brands Welcomes Two New Executives to Their Leadership Team

– Uncanny Brands, a leading innovator in licensed pop culture collectibles, appliances and plush, is pleased to announce two new additions to its executive team: Shawn Glyn as President, and Michael Reisbaum as Vice President of Sales. This set of strategic hires highlights Uncanny Brands’ commitment to expanding its market presence and driving innovation within the industry.

Shawn Glyn comes to Uncanny Brands with over 25 years of experience in the Consumer Products category. After launching his first business in the toy industry at the age of 22, he went on to work at the industry-leading companies Jay Franco & Sons, All Star Innovations and Team Products International. Shawn brings to Uncanny a vast knowledge of brands, plus experience across all types of categories, including Housewares, Home Textiles, Hardware, Personal Care, Pet, Sporting Goods, and Toys.

As a licensee, Shawn has worked with brands like Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Hello Kitty, Minecraft, Dude Perfect, Coleman, Duraflame, Sunbeam, Sharper Image, Animal Planet, and many more. He’s also had great success in developing unique brands – from winning Walmart’s “Toy of the Year” in 2018 with a product called Zoom Tubes to creating the TV-advertised plush “Happy Nappers,” which has sold over 35 million units to date. Over the years, Shawn has built strong relationships with Walmart, Costco, Amazon, Target and other major retailers around the globe.

Shawn’s unique experience combines a deep knowledge of product innovation & development with expertise in all aspects of marketing. Best of all, he is an enthusiastic and energetic collaborator.

Michael Reisbaum joins Uncanny with over 25 years of sales experience, primarily in the promotional products industry. Throughout his career, he has been a business owner, entrepreneur, leader in multinational sales organizations, direct importer, and US-based manufacturer. His extensive knowledge and practical know-how make him an expert at building sustainable, growth-focused relationships with retail buyers.
